Meet Your Webinar Hosts
Cyrus Khambatta, PhD was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2002. He received his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University in 2003, and then earned a PhD in Nutritional Biochemistry from the University of California at Berkeley in 2012.

For the past decade, he has have been educating people with type 1 diabetes, type 1.5 diabetes, prediabetes, and type 2 diabetes how to reduce reverse insulin resistance through diet an exercise, following a evidence-based protocol that has helped thousands of people around the world achieve exceptional health.

Cyrus has more than 15 years of experience living with type 1 diabetes, and more than 14 years of experience living a low-fat, plant-based, whole-food lifestyle. He has been able to maintain A1c values between 5.4%-6.0% with excellent cardiovascular, athletic, and emotional health. 

Robby Barbaro was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2000, and has over 12 years expercience following a low-fat, plant-based, whole-food diet. To this day, adopting this lifestyle has been the best decision of his life. Robbby's hemoglobin A1c value has never exceeded 6.6%, with a current A1c of 5.3%, all while eating ~750 grams of carbohydrate energy per day. 

Robby graduated from the University of Florida in 2011 and worked at Forks Over Knives for 6 years before turning his attention to coaching people with diabetes full time. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Health from American Public University. Robby enjoys exercising every day, spending time with friends and sharing his lifestyle on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
