Meet Your Webinar Hosts
Cyrus Khambatta, PhD was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2002. He received his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University in 2003, and then earned a PhD in Nutritional Biochemistry from the University of California at Berkeley in 2012.

For the past decade, he has have been educating people with type 1 diabetes, type 1.5 diabetes, prediabetes, and type 2 diabetes how to reduce reverse insulin resistance through diet an exercise, following a evidence-based protocol that has helped thousands of people around the world achieve exceptional health.

Cyrus has more than 15 years of experience living with type 1 diabetes, and more than 14 years of experience living a low-fat, plant-based, whole-food lifestyle. He has been able to maintain A1c values between 5.4%-6.0% with excellent cardiovascular, athletic, and emotional health. 

Robby Barbaro, MPH was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 12 and has been living a low-fat, plant-based, whole-food lifestyle since 2006. He graduated from the University of Florida, and is a cofounder of Mastering Diabetes. He worked at Forks Over Knives for 6 years before deciding to coach people with diabetes to exceptional health.

Robby eats pounds of fruit every day, has stable blood glucose control, and has coached thousands of people towards exceptional health living with all forms of diabetes. Robby enjoys exercising every day, spending time with friends, and sharing his lifestyle on Instagram, Youtube and Facebook.
